Woman Killed, Man Critically Injured, in Separate Auto Pedestrian Accidents

A 64-YEAR-OLD WOMAN IS DEAD -- AND A 65-YEAR-OLD MAN, INJURED -- FOLLOWING TWO SEPARATE AUTO-PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENTS MONDAY NIGHT, ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE SALT LAKE VALLEY.

IN MILLCREEK, LINDA OLSON WAS KILLED, WHILE WALKING ACROSS 33RD SOUTH -- IN A CROSSWALK -- AT 29TH EAST.

THE DRIVER STOPPED IMMEDIATELY, TO ASSIST POLICE -- AT THE DARK CROSSING -- AND HAS NOT BEEN CITED.

LESS THAN AN HOUR LATER, THE 65-YEAR-OLD MAN SUFFERED HEAD AND NECK INJURIES, WHEN HE WAS HIT WHILE WALKING NEAR 10TH WEST, 17TH SOUTH.

POLICE BELIEVE THAT VICTIM WAS CARRIED ATOP THE CAR -- FOR UP TO 75 FEET -- BEFORE THE DRIVER FLED.

AUTHORITIES ARE NOW SEARCHING FOR A SILVER SEDAN, WITH PROBABLE FRONT END DAMAGE, AND PERHAPS MISSING A REAR VIEW MIRROR.
