Utah Man Who Sought to "Kill as Many People as Possible" Arrested

A MAN WHO PLANNED TO HONOR THE ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF HIS MOTHER'S DEATH, SEPTEMBER 25TH, BY "KILLING AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE," IS NOW BEHIND BARS, ON A ONE MILLION DOLLAR BAIL.

THE CRISIS WORKER -- WHO REPORTED JACK STILES, 42, TO POLICE -- IS BEING CALLED A HERO.

SALT LAKE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY SIM GILL SAYS, THE CRIME COULD HAVE BEEN ON THE SCALE OF THE AURORA THEATER SHOOTING IN COLORADO.

THE PLOT ALLEGEDLY INVOLVED RANDOMLY SHOOTING PEOPLE, AT THE CITY CREEK MALL...AND AT THE SUGARHOUSE 10 MOVIE THEATER.

POLICE SAY STILES ALSO SPOKE OF PLANTING A BOMB ON A UTA BUS OR TRAX TRAIN.
