Two Female LDS Missionaries Beaten Up in Kosovo

TWO FEMALE MORMON MISSIONARIES, IN KOSOVO, HAVE SUFFERED BEATINGS, BUT ARE EXPECTED TO MAKE FULL RECOVERIES.

CHURCH OFFICIALS HAVE NOT YET NAMED THE VICTIMS -- OR INDICATED WHETHER WEAPONS WERE INVOLVED -- BUT THEY CONFIRM, THE WOMEN HAVE BEEN MOVED OUT OF THE AREA AND ARE RECEIVING MEDICAL CARE.

TWO ETHNIC ALBANIANS ARE SUSPECTED IN THE ATTACK. THEY ARE ALSO BEING INVESTIGATED -- ALONG WITH FOUR OTHER SUSPECTS -- IN AN UNRELATED TERRORIST PLOT.

AUTHORITIES SAY THE KOSOVO REGION IS FALLING UNDER GROWING, EXTREME ISLAMIC IDEOLOGY.
