Bells Canyon Hiker Falls One Hundred Feet, Survives

RESCUE CREWS SPENT ABOUT FIVE HOURS MONDAY NIGHT, ASSISTING A 23-YEAR-OLD HIKER...WHO FELL ABOUT 100 FEET, FROM A WATERFALL IN BELLS CANYON.

UNIFIED POLICE SAY IT WASN'T CLEAR WHETHER SOMETHING BROKE THE VICXTIM'S FALL...BUT HE WAS ALERT, WHEN RESCUERS ARRIVED.

A 36-MEMBER CREW HIKED IN TO OFFER ASSISTANCE.

THE MAN SUFFERED HEAD, WRIST AND LEG INJURIES.
