Armed Home Invader Knocked Cold By A West Valley City Resident

THE MOST SERIOUS INJURY -- IN A WEST VALLEY CITY HOME INVASION ROBBERY ATTEMPT, EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING -- WAS TO ONE OF THE THREE INTRUDERS.

POLICE SAY, ONE OF THE HOME'S RESIDENTS APPARENTLY ASSAULTED THE ARMED MAN, KNOCKING HIM UNCONSCIOUS.

SARGEANT STEVE BURKE SAYS, NO SHOTS WERE FIRED...THOUGH THE SUSPECTS DID HAVE AT LEAST ONE, HIGH-POWERED GUN.

THE KNOCKED OUT SUSPECT WAS TREATED AT THE SCENE...AND TAKEN TO A HOSPITAL.

THE ONLY OTHER INJURY WAS TO ONE OF THE RESIDENTS, WHO HURT HER ANKLE, WHEN SHE JUMPED FROM A SECOND STORY WINDOW.

THE CRIME OCCURRED NEAR 37TH SOUTH, 71ST WEST...IN A HOME, WITH AT LEAST NINE RESIDENTS -- INCLUDING FIVE YOUNG CHILDREN.

POLICE ARE NOW LOOKING FOR TWO SUSPECTS.
