A 43-year old woman escaped a burning minivan thanks to the quick actions of a passer-by. The woman had just collided with a pickup truck on Bangerter Highway near 2100 South Thursday.
The minivan rolled after the crash and started to fill with smoke. Witnesses ran to the crash site and pulled the woman to safety. The minivan then burst into flames.
The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.
The driver of the pickup truck escaped injury.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
